probably already know this story of John Paul II, but I was very touched
the beggar who confessed to John Paul II
A priest from the Diocese of New York when he was in a parish in Rome, he met a beggar and after watching realized that I knew him. Was a fellow of the seminary, ordained on the same day as him. Now begging in the streets. The recognition, beggar, told how he had lost his faith and his vocation.
The next day, the priest, attended the Pope's private Mass. All attendees at the end of the Mass to greet the Holy Father and, on impulse, the priest kneels before him and begged him to pray for his old conference, briefly telling their sad situation.
A day later he received the Pope's invitation to dine with him, begging him to be accompanied by a beggar in the parish. Persuaded him and brought him to where he was staying to lend a suit and get it aseara. So he dined with the Pope ... Upon completion, asked the priest to let them alone. At that time John Paul II calls the beggar heard in confession. The man, extremely impressed, says that he is not a priest, but the pope replied :
"Once a priest, a priest forever"
"But I'm out of my faculties as a priest," replied the beggar .
Pope Answer:
"I am the Bishop of Rome and I can take care of that"
He heard excited confession and weeping of the Holy Father asked the Vicar of Christ to hear his own confession. After entrusting the rottenness of his past life and to be forgiven their sins, repented and wept bitterly.
